The ABDS mission

This association, the first of its kind in North America, is an essential link in the Quebec supply structure for biological products of human origin, such as plasma and stem cells.

For over 20 years, the ABDS has worked tirelessly to recruit the next generation of donors. With hundreds of volunteers across 13 divisions in Quebec, the ABDS promotes blood, platelet, plasma, stem cell and breast milk donations, and recruits new donors in partnership with Héma-Québec. Hundreds of information booths are organized each year by volunteers across the province to raise awareness of the various types of donation. different types of donation.

Since 2013, the Association of Blood Donation Volunteers has made a major contribution to the education and recruitment of plasma donors by deploying teams of volunteers in every region where there is a Héma-Québec Donation Center.

The Foundation fully funds the activities of ABDS, which is an important partner of Héma-Québec. Thanks to its vast provincial network, ABDS collaborates in fundraising activities by providing the Héma-Québec Foundation with volunteers for certain benefit events.
