You can plan a gift to be made to the Foundation upon your death. But to do so, you need to plan now!
This type of planned gift allows you to make a gift of publicly traded shares, bonds, mutual fund units or employee share ownership plan units. When you make a gift of shares, you don’t have to pay capital gains tax. You also get a receipt for the fair market value, and the satisfaction of seeing the gift put to immediate use.
